The one decade has unfolded such a radical change in the international political environments as, perhaps, never before been witnessed since the end of the Second World War. The primary goal of the United Nations is the maintenance of international peace and security and India has been fulfilling the specific responsibility to achieve this goal. Basic Principle of Indian foreign policy is to maintain peace and security which can be seen in the five principles of peaceful coexistence, known as the Panchashil Treaty, Non - interference in internal affairs of the others, respect for each other's territorial unity integrity and sovereignty are a set of principles to govern relations between states.
